The New Lost

 Are we the new Lost Generation?

in the aftermath of the pandemic

finding inspiration in suffering and loss

yet never missing a meal, never hungry when we write 

let us consider the forward

speaking on what keeps us tossing in the night 

now able to breathe again, let our breaths be loud and vibrating 

now able to stretch again, let us be pioneers in reaching out

now able to search again, let us find experiences worthy of fiction

now able to see again, let us open our eyes and rediscover life 

and out of a generation of me and I, a "we" begins to emerge
